Thanksgiving 2010!
November 29th, 2010Hi everyone!
Hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving break and got to spend quality time with family and friends.
My Thanksgiving break was great! We didn’t go anywhere, but it was nice to take a break from all the school work and stress that comes a long with it. It’s at a perfect time to get students relaxed and replenished before finals week and dead week that are coming up.
So when break started I had HUGE plans of getting work done, but all my efforts failed (except for the first two days, I was a good stendt). I was at home most of the time spending time with my brother and mom. My dad was abroad on a work trip so he came back only on Tuesday evening. Thanksgiving dinner was definitely a success though. We had the classic Thanksgiving meal turkey, scalloped potatoes etc etc.. in our family its sort of become a tradition that I cook Thanksgiving dinner. So I woke up at 9am and started cooking our feast until it was finished. It was a lot of work, but I had a lot of fun doing it, and it actually tasted good!
Black Friday was beyond crazy this year. My brother and I are huge shoppers, so we both woke up early in the morning to start shopping. By the end of the day I was shopped out!
Being back in Bloomington I can’t help but dread the next three weeks. Projects, presentations, papers, and final exams. Especially the fact that I will be finishing up my last fall semester in college. By planning ahead and actually completing my task lists I will be sure to not burn out myself and finish the semester strong.
